There is an amazing variety of activities within easy reach of the hotel. We are situated in the heart of the largest, and least populated county in Britain. Wonderful scenery complements a great sense of history. Hadrian's Wall, Northumberland National Park, Kielder Water and Wallington Hall are a few of the local gems.
We are also blessed with some of the north's finest golf courses. The new championship Colt Course at Close House, two courses at Slaley Hall, one impossible to tame, Hexham Golf Course and Matfen Hall are all within a short drive. There are many more that we can recommend.
